What you'll do at OhioMHAS :

Under the general direction of the Deputy Director, administers Hospital Services (HS) statewide quality improvement and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Under the general direction of the Deputy Director, administers Hospital Services (HS) statewide quality improvement and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Develops, implements and monitors a common statewide approach within the regional psychiatric hospitals (RPH) for the use of data and analytical tools to measure performance and develop effective indicators.
  • Oversees RPH Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QA/PI) monitoring of hospital incidents for quality, consistency and timeliness.
  • Makes recommendations to improve the quality and integrity of the data and related processes.
  • Works with RPH QA/PI offices to develop and publish an annual summary of performance improvement activities.
  • Leads statewide review of RPH QA/PI initiatives, plans and policies; proposes improvements.
  • Makes recommendations to assure compliance with accrediting/ certifying agencies.
  • Leads RPH QA/PI directors in the development of statewide reports and data to help assess policy effectiveness and support leadership in evaluating policy decisions.
  • Coordinates and leads process improvement projects (e.g. special risk areas) within the hospital system.
  • Assists Medical Director with special projects and data requests.
  • Acts for the Director in the absence of the Assistant Director and Deputy Director on matters related to Hospital Services operations.
This is an hourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units , with a pay range of 15 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule . Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (Flexible Schedule).

Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Qualifications

Position Qualifications

Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration or mental health technology (e.g., psychology, rehabilitation, social work); 12 mos. exp. in area to be assigned.

Or

completion of graduate core program in public administration or business administration.

Or

12 mos. exp. as Mental Health Administration 4, 65224, in Department of Mental Health.

Note: prior training &/or experience must be directly related to area to be assigned.

Or

Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
