Description of Job Duties

This position has recruiting, leadership, administrative, communication, writing, and coaching components.

Essential Functions:
Assist Head Coach with scheduling and securing the team's travel arrangements.
Manage players according to collegiate standards for sportsmanship and the rules of college athletic associations.
Assist Head Coach with all necessary NCAA Division Ill compliance issues.
Assist Head Coach with managing the budget, and procuring supplies and equipment.
Act as a liaison and on-campus representative for the Wrestling Team in the absence of the Head Coach.
Demonstrate the ability to guide, teach and communicate with student-athletes, as well as a strong commitment to student development and excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
Assist Head coach with recruiting efforts on and off-campus.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Required:
Accepted into a graduate program at North Central College.
Wrestling player or coach experience, or athletic administrative experience.
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification, or eligibility to become current.
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Able and willing to travel as needed, including nights and weekends.

Preferred:
Experience in college athletics strongly preferred.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record strongly preferred.

Approximate number of work hours per week
20 hours per week during the academic year, excluding academic breaks
