Job Summary Overview

The position is responsible for serving as technology (Tableau, Excel) subject matter expert for the organization.

Essential Job Functions

• Serves as the departmental general knowledge resource for Tableau desktop, Server functionality, and training mentor for Member Insights Analyst.
• Creates SQL queries to research, analyze, and troubleshoots data and to create visualizations.
• Coordinates and assists Server Admins in the development and structure of Tableau Servers.
• Participates in Strategic Initiatives providing researching, analysis, and data visualizations.
• Represents MX function at department meetings and inform the department of outcomes.
• Develops, produces, and enhances ongoing reports that capture goals, benchmarks and results from our retail channels including (but not limited to).
• Develops a Tableau dashboard reporting structure for retail and business leaders that provides tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Recommends production targets to retail segment leaders and business leaders based on historical, seasonal, and demographic trends.
• Develops, produces, and enhances ongoing reports that capture results from our member survey program data. Works closely with Member Insights Manager to integrate survey data with other views of members to identify trends or at-risk member segments.
• Performs ongoing analysis of our membership to measure changes in demographics, channel and services utilization, credit quality and other factors.
• Identifies trends found in reports that indicate opportunities or causes for concern, summarizing and presenting findings to the appropriate parties.
• Initiates and pursues additional analysis as a result of trends identified to uncover additional opportunities.
• Completes industry research to compare how internal data/trends compares geographically, demographically or within the industry.
• Documents standards and procedures related to compiling data and reports.
• Identifies and communicates data accuracy issues to appropriate teams and collaborates with other segments, IT and BIG to fix reporting as needed.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Position Required Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

Five (5) plus years' experience in highly analytical role within marketing, sales, or e-commerce.

Advanced level experience of Tableau including how to structure, create, and produce reports or other Data Visualization tools such as PowerBI.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to write SQL queries to create calculations for Tableau Dashboards and Stories.
• Experience with business systems analysis/business intelligence. Proven ability for taking disparate data sets and organizing it into a format that is actionable.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing, summarizing findings and presenting recommendations to senior management for action.
• Ability to speak effectively and credibly when presenting information to staff, management, and board of directors.
• Ability to interpret analytical and statistical data. Ability to track goals and forecast results. Ability to translate numbers and data into meaningful insights for a broad audience, and to translate results and metrics directly back to organizational strategy and goals.
• In addition to proficiency with Microsoft Suite, must have demonstrated experience with analytics tools. Must be adept at creating management dashboards.

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Must be able to travel independently to department and branch locations.
