Job Summary The Nelson Golf & Sports Club ("The Nelson") is a fine private country club offering premier amenities, including a world-class golf course, exquisite dining, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, and a vibrant social calendar. Under the leadership of the Director of Fitness and in partnership with Membership Enrollment Directors, the Membership Enrollment Advisor is responsible for membership sales and enrollment success at The Nelson. The role involves developing and executing strategies for lead generation and membership sales for the Social/Fitness Membership level at The Nelson; developing relationships with prospective and current Members that support lead generation; and representing and growing the The Nelson's brand in the community.
Qualifications - High school Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in hospitality, a private club or upscale fitness environment, or other luxury services. Understanding of private club culture is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and embrace The Nelson's "Membership by Invitation" philosophy.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and have the ability to quickly gain proficiency in Club software and technology. Familiarity with CRM tools and sales tracking processes is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to confidently engage with executive-level professionals.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to independently lead and complete all responsibilities with little supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time-management.
Job Requirements - Create, plan, and execute strategies to meet or exceed membership sales goals.
- Identify and engage prospective members through networking, referrals, outreach events, and business partnerships.
- Plan and promote entertaining and productive member referral events.
- Conduct club tours, highlighting amenities, services, and benefits to potential members.
- Maintain relationships with existing members to encourage referrals and foster community engagement.
- Collaborate with the Membership Enrollment and Membership Services teams to create promotional materials and campaigns to attract new members.
- Handle inquiries about membership options, pricing, and policies in a professional and timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain accurate membership records, contracts, and reports.
- Represent the club at community and industry events to enhance visibility and build relationships.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and leadership. Assist other departments as needed.
