WV - Marlinton, WV - Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Location: Marlinton, WV (near Buckeye)
Position: Full-Time
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM (3-12 hour shifts per week; cross-trained for other shifts)
Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Medical Technologists (MT) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) to join our team. This full-time position offers 3-12 hour shifts per week on days, with the opportunity to be cross-trained for other shifts as needed. Ideal candidates will hold an ASCP certification, with preference for MT certification, but MLT candidates will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform various laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank.

Accurately record and report results of laboratory tests.

Follow all laboratory safety protocols and quality control measures.

Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.

Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in the lab.

Participate in staff education, training, and quality improvement initiatives.

Cross-train for other shifts as necessary, to ensure adequate coverage.
Qualifications:

ASCP certification required; MT preferred but will consider MLT.

Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting is strongly preferred.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
