- Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with every other Saturday and Sunday
Job Description:
The Generalist Tech will perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, supporting multiple areas of the lab. This position involves working with a wide range of diagnostic equipment and technologies, providing accurate results for medical staff to assess and treat patients. The Generalist Tech is responsible for ensuring high-quality laboratory services and maintaining proper procedures to ensure patient safety and accurate test results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of diagnostic laboratory tests in accordance with established protocols.
- Operate laboratory equipment and technologies to process samples and record results.
- Maintain proper records and documentation of all tests and results.
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of specimens.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe and clean laboratory environment.
- Collaborate with team members and medical staff to ensure timely and accurate test results.
- Provide assistance in troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues with laboratory equipment.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Licensure/Certification: ASCP certification is required.
