Inizio Engage, in partnership with Danaher Diagnostics, is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Director to lead a national team focused on advancing clinical education and scientific engagement around novel biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease.


This role is ideal for a leader with strong scientific, diagnostic, and strategic acumen who thrives in cross-functional environments. The MSL Director will oversee a team of field-based MSLs and collaborate with internal stakeholders across medical affairs, commercial, and strategy teams to support compliant, non-promotional scientific exchange.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead, coach and develop a national team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) focused on neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's and associated biomarkers
  • Contribute to medical affairs strategy in collaboration with Danaher and Op-Co leadership and oversee the translation of Medical Affairs strategies to actionable field initiatives
  • Monitor and report on field activities, performance metrics, and outcomes/field insights; provide professional development of MSLs
  • Serve as a senior scientific and neurodegenerative disease biomarker expert, partnering with internal stakeholders to align field insights with medical and business objectives
  • Identify and engage with key stakeholders, including neurologists, laboratory directors, translational researchers, and clinical lab decision-makers, across academic institutions, integrated delivery networks, and reference laboratories
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with medical, commercial, R&D, and marketing teams to support aligned initiatives and appropriate biomarker utilization
  • Represent MSL field insights, observations and recommendations at internal strategy meetings and represent the company at scientific congresses, meetings and external events.
  • Oversee appropriate field use of scientific content including approved field decks, FAQs, and onboarding guides
  • Ensure scientific rigor, compliance, and effective communication of scientific data and information and stakeholder engagement across the team
  • Collect, analyze, and communicate field insights to inform evidence generation, strategic planning, and future innovation

What do you need for this position?

  • Advanced degree in a medical or scientific field (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO) or clinical equivalent (NP, PA, MSN)
  • 5+ years of experience in medical affairs in diagnostics, pharmaceutical or biotech companies, including prior MSL or field team leadership
  • Strong background in neurology, neurodegenerative disease, and laboratory diagnostics highly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and strategic planning capabilities
  • Proven success in cross-functional collaboration and medical strategy development
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Must live near a major airport
