MUST:

3+ years of experience in a private practice setting

Strong experience providing customer service

Experience verifying insurance and scheduling appointments

Strong experience pre-authorizing procedures and processing referrals

Experience utilizing Athena EMR

Updating and verifying demographics

Collecting co-pays

Strong communication skills and upbeat personality

DUTIES:

Answer phones

Schedule appointments

Pre-Authorize procedures

Verify insurance

Provide customer service

Collect payments

Request referrals

Provides patient instructions verbally or in writing in order for patient to prepare for appointment.

Obtains documents and verifies patient demographics, financial and insurance information

Gather demographic information and determine medical insurance coverage

Works with patients on unpaid balances from previous visits prior to scheduling subsequent appointments.
