Job Title: Patient Intake Coordinator - Medical Front Office

Position Overview: A leading healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Intake Coordinator to join their medical front office team. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth patient interactions and efficient clinic operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule new and follow-up patient appointments. Ensure all necessary demographic information, medical records, and insurance details are obtained and verified.
- Eligibility and Benefits Verification: Conduct thorough eligibility checks and verification of benefits for all scheduled patients prior to their appointments. Obtain necessary referrals based on eligibility and third-party guidelines.
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival, guide them through the registration process, and ensure all necessary forms and information are up-to-date. Check patients in and out of the clinic efficiently.
- Communication Management: Address incoming phone calls, faxes, and emails promptly and professionally. Provide registration and informational services to patients, outside providers, and the public.
- Daily Operations: Prepare daily schedules and profiles for the clinic's next day operations. Run Medicaid eligibility checks daily on all patients.
- Team Leadership (if applicable): For those assigned as Team Leaders, additional responsibilities include staff training and ensuring up-to-date provider schedules for adequate clinic coverage.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of consecutive related experience in a medical front office or similar setting.
- GED or High School diploma required.
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
- Ability to enable multi-factor authentication via personal smart device for system access.
