A highly respected defense firm in Los Angeles is seeking a Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to defend healthcare professionals and institutions in complex medical malpractice cases. Whether you're a recent law school graduate with Bar admission or an attorney with up to 4-5 years of experience, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the defense of medical malpractice cases from inception to resolution.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
- Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies.
- Provide risk management guidance to healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar membership in good standing.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Litigation experience (preferred but not required).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
