Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Location: Cumming, Georgia

Job Type: 13 Weeks Contract

Shifts: 10-hour nights, 4 days per week


Job Summary:

The Medical Laboratory Technician will support specimen testing and analysis to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in clinical laboratory operations, including sample preparation, test execution, and results interpretation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and complex laboratory tests on patient samples.
  • Prepare, label, and process specimens according to established protocols.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Analyze test results and report findings accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain strict quality control procedures and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and infection control.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide timely and reliable lab data.
  • Maintain accurate patient and test records in lab information systems.
  • Participate in continuing education and performance improvement activities.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Must hold one of the following credentials: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, or HHS.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in medical technology or a clinical lab setting required.
  • Preferred: Experience working in a clinical laboratory environment.
  • Skills: Proficiency in specimen analysis, laboratory procedures, and use of lab equipment.
  • Other Requirements: Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and ability to work independently during night shifts.
