What You'll Do:
- Perform laboratory analysis on blood, body fluids, and tissue specimens with precision and efficiency.
- Ensure technical accuracy, instrument operation, and quality control while following established policies and procedures.
- Report timely and accurate results to physicians and hospital staff, assisting in critical patient diagnoses and treatments.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering technical questions from clinical lab assistants, physicians, and nurses.
- Maintain laboratory operations by assisting with specimen collection, sample handling, and information system procedures
- Drive to other Renown patient testing centers, as assigned by the Clinical Laboratory Supervisor.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Must meet the educational requirements to obtain and maintain State of Nevada Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure
- Experience: Recent general clinical laboratory experience preferred.
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Specialist, Provisional Technologist, or Provisional Specialist license within 7 months of hire
- General Supervisor licensure is acceptable and will supersede the Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Specialist licensure.
- Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) (ASCP) certification preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory standards
- Knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
- Computer proficiency to complete online learning, forms, and policy access within 90 days of hire.
