Job Title: Medical Front Desk Receptionist

Location: Cervello-Wellness - North Bethesda, MD Job Type: Full-Time / In person

Cervello-Wellness is a growing outpatient mental health and wellness clinic in North Bethesda, MD, offering innovative, evidence-based care for individuals across the lifespan. Our multidisciplinary team provides services including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, ADHD testing, Spravato (esketamine) treatment, and holistic wellness support. We are committed to creating a warm, welcoming environment for our patients and their families.

Position Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Medical Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of Cervello-Wellness. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and smooth experience from check-in to check-out. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Support & Office Coordination

Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth

Answer phone calls, route messages, and respond to inquiries with empathy and discretion

Schedule and manage appointments for psychiatric, wellness, and Spravato treatments

Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient registration, insurance, and intake forms

Administrative Tasks

Perform patient check-in and check-out processes, including consent forms and follow-up scheduling

Verify insurance and process prior authorizations (especially for Spravato or ADHD services)

Collect co-pays and payments, issue receipts, and reconcile daily transactions

Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front office and waiting area

Team Collaboration

Communicate efficiently with psychiatric providers, clinical staff, and wellness practitioners

Help monitor patient flow and assist with coordination of care and room assignments

Uphold HIPAA standards and maintain confidentiality of all patient information

Support special projects or clinic operations as assigned by the Office Manager

Qualifications:

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting

Professional and courteous demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication

Proficiency in EMR systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office

Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

Familiarity with mental health services, ADHD testing, and Spravato coordination

Experience in verifying insurance benefits and handling prior authorizations

Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) a plus
