Medical Editor

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Freelance Medical Editor to join our team. The individual will be responsible for editing long-form medical content, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and guidance. Collaboration with medical writing, study teams, and other cross-functional department project teams will be a key part of your role. Responsibilities: - Editing and reviewing long-form medical documents. - Ensuring all documents meet or exceed regulatory requirements and guidance. - Collaborating closely with medical writing, study teams, and other cross-functional department project teams. - Copyediting assigned documents, applying correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style following American Medical Association (AMA) or various custom guidelines and internal medical writing checklists and best practices. - Performing data integrity review of assigned documents to ensure accuracy. - Compiling and publishing medical writing deliverables. Tools: - Adobe Acrobat - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) In this dynamic role, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to contribute to our mission while honing their medical editing skills. Requirements - Significant publishing experience using Adobe or other markup tools. - Exceptional attention to detail and strong copyediting skills. - Proficiency in data integrity review and project management. - Extensive familiarity with the AMA style guide. - Experience in medical communications. - Ability to understand technical/scientific data like "p-values", fair balance, and trial data.
