About Del Sol Medical Center - East:- Level II Trauma Center with an Intermediate Care (IC) designation
- Part of HCA Healthcare's robust network
- HCA Residency Program Association: IM residents rotate through the emergency department (ED)
- Associated with freestanding emergency departments (FSEDs): Horizon and East
- Hospital beds: 379
- Located near University Medical Center, providing additional trauma support
Emergency Department Overview:- 34 ED beds in a well-designed layout to optimize patient flow
- Annual ED volume of 60,000 patients, with 2.0 patients per hour with a 15% admission rate
- 49 hours of EM physician coverage and 20 hours of APC coverage daily
- Medium-to-high acuity levels
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): MediTech
- Trauma services supported by a helipad for rapid transfers
