  • Lead the collections team in developing strategy, driving execution, and ensuring productivity for medical account balances, including prompt follow-up and resolution of underpayments, overpayments, and denied claims.
  • Drive continuous process improvement to enhance team efficiency, compliance, and effectiveness across all workflows.
  • Manage daily operations by coordinating workflows, setting priorities, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Monitor team productivity and maintain accurate data across various electronic systems through regular data entry, tracking, and audits.
  • Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality and security of all patient information.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule as needed to support operations across multiple time zones, including West Coast coverage.
  • Based on experience and organizational needs, may grow into broader leadership roles, supporting or overseeing areas such as:
  • Supporting authorization specialists to ensure timely receipt, renewal, and follow-up of pre-authorizations, enabling practitioners to provide uninterrupted care.
  • Overseeing client collections by guiding the specialist in patient invoicing, handling inquiries and complaints, and assisting in developing payment plans when needed.
  • Managing billing functions, including timely submission and re-submission of claims, and keeping the team informed of updates to payer-specific billing guidelines.
  • Supervising credentialing processes to ensure all required documentation is submitted and maintained for over 50 funding sources, while monitoring re-credentialing timelines and payer requirements for the company.
