Position: Implant Treatment Coordinator

Reports to: Office Manager/Surgeon

Job Overview:

The Implant Treatment Coordinator is responsible for guiding patients through the entire implant treatment process, from consultation to final restoration. This role focuses on full arch and multi-implant cases, providing expert patient education, coordinating financial arrangements, and ensuring seamless communication between patients, surgical staff, and referring providers. The coordinator will also play a pivotal role in increasing referral engagement by presenting full arch case opportunities to referral practices.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Consultations & Education:

Conduct full arch and multi-implant consultations, ensuring patients understand the treatment plan, expected outcomes, and steps involved.

Educate patients on the benefits of implant solutions, including detailed explanations of the procedures, recovery expectations, and care.

Guide patients through their implant journey, addressing questions and concerns with empathy, and building trust to improve case acceptance.


2. Financial Coordination:

Work closely with patients to develop tailored financial plans, including insurance navigation, financing options, and cost transparency.

Provide clear and concise explanations of treatment costs, ensuring patients are informed of all available payment options.


3. Intraoral Scanning & Imaging:

Perform intraoral scanning for implant patients, capturing detailed digital impressions for treatment planning and surgical guide fabrication.

Ensure high-quality imaging that aids in the accuracy of surgical procedures and improves patient outcomes.


4. Surgical Guide Fabrication:

Coordinate with lab partners and surgeons to facilitate the design and production of custom surgical guides.

Ensure that guides meet surgical specifications and are delivered in a timely manner, enabling seamless surgical workflows.


5. Referral Engagement & Education:

Increase engagement with referral sources by presenting full arch and multi-implant case opportunities through in-office presentations and continuing education sessions.

Build and maintain strong relationships with referring doctors and their staff to encourage future case referrals.


6. Case Follow-Up & Coordination:

Track patient progress from initial consultation to the completion of treatment, coordinating follow-up visits and ensuring consistent communication.

Liaise between surgical staff, lab partners, and patients to ensure all treatment components are aligned and timelines are met.


7. Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with the office manager, surgeon, and marketing team to align the patient experience with practice goals.

Assist in cross-training other team members on implant treatment processes and the use of intraoral scanning equipment.


8. Marketing Support:

Work with the practice relations ambassador to create marketing materials specific to full arch implant solutions.

Assist in organizing in-office events and presentations to promote the practices expertise in implant dentistry to referring doctors and the community.


Additional Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate record-keeping of patient consultations, financial arrangements, and treatment progress.

Stay updated on the latest advancements in implant technology and patient care to provide top-level consultation services.

Attend regular training sessions and meetings to refine skills and improve patient communication techniques.

Education and Experience
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of customer service experience required.
  • Medical or dental experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
  • Understanding of dental terminology.
