About the Company
Brightview Care is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to manage insurance claims and billing operations for our ABA therapy services. We are a mission-driven team committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to children and families through in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy.
About the Role
This role involves preparing and submitting insurance claims, following up on denials or rejections, and ensuring compliance with all healthcare billing standards and regulations. You will work closely with our clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless billing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage insurance claims for ABA therapy services
- Handle day-to-day billing operations and documentation
- Prepare and submit electronic and paper claims accurately
- Follow up on claim denials, rejections, and unpaid accounts
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations
- Ensure all billing activities are HIPAA-compliant and meet payer guidelines
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associate's degree or certification in medical billing (preferred)
Required Skills:
- 1+ years of medical billing experience
- Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and ABA billing codes
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with billing software and electronic health records (EHRs)
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ABA-specific platforms like CentralReach or Kareo
- Knowledge of payer-specific ABA requirements
- Understanding of prior authorization and eligibility processes
