APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Dearborn, MI looking to add a Certified Medical Assistant to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to support physicians and healthcare providers by performing both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. 1st shift opportunity - Monday to Friday from 8:30am-5pm
Competitive hourly rate ranging between $18-$20/hr. depending on experience
Direct Hire position - you'll be hired on directly with our client.

What your day will look like:
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by taking vital signs, medical history, and documenting patient concerns.
- Assist physicians during examinations, minor surgeries, and diagnostic testing.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, phlebotomy, EKGs, and specimen collection.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Schedule patient appointments, manage follow-up communications, and assist with referrals.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of exam rooms and medical equipment.
- Educate patients on medication instructions, preventive care, and follow-up needs.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Support general front desk operations, including answering phones and checking in/out patients, as needed.
What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Previous experience in an Orthopedic medical setting is a plus.
