Job Description Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a Medical Assistant to support to join our Women's Health department (Obstetrics and Gynecology) at the Dumfries Ambulatory Care Center in Dumfries, VA. The Medical Assistant must have experience working directly within women's health (Obstetrics and Gynecology). Anticipated schedule: Monday-Friday or Position Overview: This position provides medical assistant services in support of patient care and treatment. Responsibilities: Experienced with biopsies, polyp removals and related procedures - REQUIRED Taking a patient's history and personal information upon arrival of appointment Responsible for tracking of some reports Checking patient vitals and provide assistance to physician in office with dermatological procedures Screens walk-in patients for eligibility for treatment. Handle light administrative duties; schedule appointments of patients. Handle/triage patient to staff questions. Maintains and stock forms and inventory needed at front desk.
