Overview:
Responsible for assisting physicians and nurses in providing patient care to clinic patients under the supervision of physicians/nurse practitioner and the leader.
Medical Assistant Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Preferred Experience: P rior clinical healthcare experience, particularly phlebotomy experience.
- Preferred Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Certified Medical Assistant:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Certification : Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA; EMT and/or Paramedic are also accepted). Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
