Placement: Classified Non-Exempt Salary Schedule
Term: 230 Day Calendar
Salary: Starting at $18.07 hr. (based on education and experience)

Position Summary:
The Medicaid Data Analyst assists the Director of Budget and Finance and Director of Special Education in maintaining compliance with all Medicaid reporting in the public schools and enforcement agencies.

Essential Functions:
  • Assists district staff with Medicaid related claims and reporting.
  • Coordinates training activities between Medicaid agencies and district staff.
  • Converts documentation received from staff into the submission of a claim to the district's Medicaid billing agent.
  • Ensures reimbursements are received after the district has submitted claims.
  • Organizes files and maintains Medicaid related information for district and audit records purposes.
  • Handles all correspondence and distribution of information related to the Medicaid program.
  • Documents and records procedures relating to the Medicaid program.
  • Notifies Director of Budget and Finance and Director of Educational Services of any issues or concerns regarding the Medicaid program.
  • Answers phone, arrange meetings of committees and coordinates mass mailings.
  • Ensures that all work is completed in accordance with District policy and applicable state and federal laws.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Training and Experience:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Experience in a clerical position.
  • Two or more years of secretarial/clerical experience preferred.
  • Experience/knowledge of general accounting practices preferred.
  • Experience/knowledge of Medicaid program preferred.
Knowledge of:
  • Medicaid reporting.
  • General Office procedures.
  • Basic Computer skills.
Physical Requirements:
Positions in this class typically require climbing, crawling, stooping, kneeling, crouching,
standing, walking, pushing, reaching, lifting, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive
motions.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
