THE JOB

We're seeking an Associate Publisher to lead and inspire the local Dallas sales team. This role combines strategic vision and sales forecasting and planning with hands-on sales management. By fostering a high-performance culture, you'll ensure the continued success of both print and digital media initiatives while collaborating closely with internal leadership executives, operations, and editorial teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, train, and mentor a local 8-person sales team, driving individual and collective performance.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Collaborate on budgeting and sales forecasting, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Cultivate relationships with advertising clients across industries, including automotive, education, home services, retail, and more.
  • Oversee sales activities, including prospecting, pipeline management, and client retention.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends in digital marketing to enhance service offerings.
THE QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will bring:
  • 3+ years of experience in sales management (Sales Director or Manager preferred).
  • A background in media sales (print, radio, or television), with a strong grasp of both digital and print marketing.
  • Demonstrated success in leading high-performing sales teams.
  • A stable career trajectory with a history of long-term engagements at previous employers.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
  • A results-oriented mindset with expertise in budgeting and sales forecasting.

  • Compensation: Base salary starting at $100,000, with total earnings potential of up to $150,000 including bonuses.
