Required:
- Strong experience in PR, Publicity, media relations, or campaign communications
- Proven track record of successful media placements and campaign promotion
- Mix of experience with online and social media (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) as well as traditional media
- Experience with press releases and building and managing relationships with traditional media outlets
- Experience building and managing outreach campaigns across digital and traditional media
- Comfortable with the Spiritual and Organizational Requirements (below)
Nice to Have:
- Experience with regional or nationwide media campaigns
- Experience with market expansion
- Professional experience with faith-based or cause-driven organizations
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field

Summary / Responsibilities:
The Publicist for "Just 1" is responsible for promoting, expanding, and elevating the visibility of Rock Church's evangelism movement and training called "Just 1." This role will lead the effort and strategy to share inspiring stories, engage media and church partners, generate buzz through press, podcasts, digital outreach, and build community awareness of the campaign's mission: to empower every person to reach just one to spread the hope of Jesus. This role works closely with internal Rock Church teams to craft compelling press releases, manage media relations, and oversee outreach strategies across digital and traditional platforms. Additionally, they help identify new market opportunities and engage target audiences to grow Just 1's influence and membership. This individual plays a key role in telling the story of transformation happening through the Just 1 revival-both within the church and in the broader global community.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive publicity strategy for the Just 1 campaign to increase reach and engagement, especially on
- Identify and pitch compelling human-interest stories from the campaign to local, regional, and faith-based media outlets, including influencer platforms and podcasts.
- Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and talking points.
- Cultivate relationships with journalists, influencers, and media partners to grow exposure.
- Coordinate interviews and speaking opportunities for key church leaders and Just 1 participants.
- Manage media coverage tracking and compile recap reports and press kits.
- Collaborate with Rock Church social media, video, and content teams to align storytelling efforts.
- Support event publicity, including campaign launches, testimonies, community activations, and outreach efforts.
- Oversee media presence and engagement at key Just 1 events.
- Monitor trends in media and culture to identify opportunities for timely and relevant storytelling.
- Uphold Rock Church's values and represent the Just 1 message with clarity, integrity, and excellence.
- Measure the effectiveness of PR campaigns and outreach initiatives, providing regular reports on media coverage, audience engagement, and market growth.
- Use data-driven insights to adjust strategies for greater impact.
Organizational and Spiritual Requirements:
- Member of the Rock Church (or willing to transfer membership to the Rock Church).
- Demonstrate Christ-centered behavior at all times by treating people with dignity, respect, compassion, and integrity.
- Utilize the principles of Matthew 18 and Ephesians 4:15 to resolve differences of opinion with others.
- Successful completion of a thorough pre-employment references and background checks, which include: social security verification, Local, State, & Federal criminal conviction records search, national security database, and sex offender registry.
- Attendance at all mandatory meetings and events. This includes serving at Good Friday, Easter, and Christmas services as well as the annual volunteer appreciation event.
- Regular involvement in Rock Church activities, ministries, and events.
- Tithe 10% to the Rock Church.
- Signed acknowledgment of the Rock's Statement of Faith.
