More details on Travel:
- Individuals will need to travel 20% of the time to in-person trainings or events in client territory. Out of service territory or out of state candidates would be entertained only if they are willing to cover their own travel costs to in-person events in client territory with no cost or delay to company.
- Potentially throughout territory - most frequently San Ramon, Stockton, and San Jose
Hybrid, currently in-person team meetings at Oakland or other location a few times a month, 20% of time at in-person events throughout territory - as company navigates Return to People the team may meet in the office 1 day per week
Client will provide a laptop and network access
the job does not require PPE, but this is typically provided by the client, this would be reimbursable if required and not provided.

Minimum Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering, construction, or architecture or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to travel a minimum of 20% of the time.
• 4 years of relevant experience in HVAC design, engineering, construction, operation and/or HVAC
installation fields.
• Valid California driver's license required or the ability to obtain one prior to start date.
Desired Qualifications
• Demonstrable work experience in the HVAC field (commercial experience preferred).
• Excellent presentation skills, including presentations to upper management.
• Thorough understanding of HVAC and electrification related terminology, technology, practice and codes.
• Ability to plan and execute a project while balancing multiple goals on a team.
• Familiarity with current HVAC technologies and their implementation including all-electric buildings.
• Excellent communication, writing, speaking, and customer relationship skills.
• Advanced degree in HVAC related fields or equivalent installation and design experience.
• Experience working with HVAC manufacturers in both commercial and residential design.
• Experience in commercial HVAC engineering, construction and energy efficiency community in California.
• Experience in developing, designing, and teaching technical curricula.
• Knowledge of California's Title 24 Part 6 Energy Standards.
• PE or C-20.
Responsibilities
• On-going delivery of HVAC related education curriculum, including a mutually agreed upon teaching schedule, as well as recruiting, onboarding, directing and evaluating third party instructors or consultants.
• Manage consultant contracts including initiating and managing agreements, approving invoices, forecasting cost, and preparing budgets for quarterly and annual planning
• Act as a liaison with HVAC industry, research, professional, and educational organizations
