Working as part of a team of environmental test specialists, the successful candidate will contribute to providing comprehensive environmental testing services across various industry sectors. The role involves managing, manipulating, and presenting electronic test data for reports, often initiating efficiency improvements.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct mechanical and climatic testing according to relevant standards, regulations, and test plans.
- Collaborate with customers during attended testing sessions.
- Record test results using electronic logbook systems and produce test reports following quality procedures.
- Communicate with customers regarding test specifications, conduct, and result interpretation.
- Coordinate with the test supervisor to ensure accuracy and timeliness of work.
- Assist in developing and refining test plans with customers.
- Contribute to the development of test methods and departmental documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance testing procedures and efficiency.
Minimum requirements:
- Experience in a laboratory environment.
Highly desirable:
- Practical experience with mechanical and climatic testing, including shaker equipment.
- Previous experience in a test house environment.
- Knowledge of laboratory quality and operational procedures.
- Interest in working within a testing environment.
- Motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.
- Flexible to work overtime, shifts, or on customer sites as needed.
- Strong numerical, logical, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficient with IT systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team within deadlines.
- Conscientious with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, committed to delivering excellent customer service.
