Permanent Mechanical Technician Opportunity - Leading Facilities Management Environment
A respected facilities management provider is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Technician to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role is ideal for a qualified and experienced technician who thrives in a busy, technically diverse environment and is looking for long-term career stability.
You'll be working within a multi-skilled engineering team, supporting a critical site where the smooth operation of mechanical systems is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to apply their trade in a meaningful and dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems and associated plant and equipment
Service and repair HVAC systems, gas appliances, piped medical gas systems, steam plant, and other mechanical infrastructure
Diagnose faults and carry out corrective action using appropriate tools, machinery, and technical knowledge
Work safely and efficiently in a live environment, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures
Accurately document work progress and completion using a CAFM system (Maximo), ensuring updates are clear and thorough
Escalate issues or delays in a timely manner to avoid operational disruption

About you:
Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
Proven experience with systems such as HVAC, water, gas, and steam
Comfortable working in a sensitive or live operational environment
Competent in using Microsoft Office and CAFM software
Valid UK driving licence
Ability to pass a Standard DBS check (essential)
