Salary: 60,000 - 75,000

Hours of Work: Full-time

Overview:

Hardman Grey Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a leading provider of innovative mechanical solutions in the HVAC industry. The Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Project delivery for mechanical installation for housing developments, care homes and commercial buildings throughout the UK
  • Leading the mechanical package for new build projects from the pre-construction phase through to completion
  • Managing the full life cycle of mechanical works on multiple new build sites
  • Managing all aspects of onsite activities
  • Coordinating with consultants and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • High standards of workmanship, safety, regulatory compliance, quality and design specifications
  • Leading subcontractors and internal delivery teams
  • Creating project documentation including RAMS, O&M manuals and progress reports
  • Regular site meetings and technical reviews

The ideal Mechanical Project Manager candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing mechanical services on new build construction projects
  • A minimum of a NVQ L2 in plumbing and heating and the ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues
  • Management Safety training (SMSTS/ SSSTS)
  • A CSCS card at a manager or supervisor level
  • Experience in delivering projects for national house builders or care home operators
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, installation methods and technical drawings
  • In depth technical knowledge of heating, ventilation, hot & cold water and renewable technologies such as heat pumps and underfloor heating
  • Commercial experience and knowledge of JCT and D&B contracts
  • A Full and clean UK driving licence
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
