Job Title: Fire Sprinkler or Mechanical Designer

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler or Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic team. This entry-level role is ideal for looking to start their career in fire protection or mechanical design. The successful candidate will work closely with senior designers and engineers to develop design plans for fire sprinkler systems and other mechanical components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and layout of fire sprinkler systems using CAD or BIM software.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure designs meet project specifications and code requirements.
- Perform hydraulic calculations to support system designs.
- Create and update design drawings and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire protection standards.
- Participate in site visits to gather information for design implementation.
- Provide technical support during the construction and installation phases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent associate degree).
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Eagerness to learn and develop within the industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship or project experience in fire protection or mechanical design.
- Familiarity with NFPA standards.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic calculation software.
