RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performpreventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
- Thoroughly clean machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
- Oil and lubricate moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
- Record and report damaged, worn or broken parts.
- Order and install replacement parts for machines.
- Identify the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
- Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.
- Prepare reports documenting work performed.
- Clean organizes, inventories, stocks and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools and supplies.
- Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
- Collaborate with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
- Make necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and make additional alterations to machinery as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma
- Some Vocational or Community College preferred
- 5 years prior Automotive Manufacturing experience
- 2+ years prior experience in Mechanical Systems Maintenance
- Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills
- Works well independently and with others
- Good communication skills
- Organized with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
