RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performpreventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
• Thoroughly clean machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
• Oil and lubricate moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
• Record and report damaged, worn or broken parts.
• Order and install replacement parts for machines.
• Identify the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
• Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.
• Prepare reports documenting work performed.
• Clean organizes, inventories, stocks and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools and supplies.
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
• Collaborate with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
• Make necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and make additional alterations to machinery as required.
REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma
• Some Vocational or Community College preferred
• 5 years prior Automotive Manufacturing experience
• 2+ years prior experience in Mechanical Systems Maintenance
• Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills
• Works well independently and with others
• Good communication skills
• Organized with attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
