Reports To: Estimating Manager / Project Executive
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HVAC Mechanical Estimator to support preconstruction efforts for commercial and industrial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing project documents, developing accurate cost estimates, and supporting bid submissions in alignment with company objectives and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare comprehensive HVAC estimates.
Perform quantity take-offs and pricing of HVAC systems including ductwork, piping, equipment, and controls.
Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and design teams to ensure accuracy in scope and pricing.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
Prepare detailed estimate reports and participate in bid reviews and presentations.
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, codes, and materials.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HVAC estimating, preferably in commercial or industrial sectors.
Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Trimble, Bluebeam, Quick Bid) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, construction methods, and mechanical codes.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet tight deadlines.
