Mechanical Field Service Engineer (Flexographic Printing)
Position Overview:
As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical and process aspects of equipment installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. You will provide expert guidance to customers, ensuring optimal machine performance and efficiency. This position requires frequent travel across the U.S. and Canada, with occasional international trips for training and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Installation: Assemble, align, start-up, and test new machinery, ensuring successful integration into customer operations.
- Project Leadership: Oversee rigging teams during installation and ensure timely project completion.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose mechanical and process-related issues, providing solutions to enhance performance.
- Customer Support & Training: Educate operators and maintenance staff on proper equipment use and preventive maintenance.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct audits and service checks on printing presses, extrusion lines, or converting equipment.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a service, maintenance, or field engineering role within Flexographic Printing
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and pneumatic diagrams.
- Expertise in equipment assembly, alignment, and disassembly using technical documentation.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and schematics.
- Computer proficiency (Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout North America.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Bilingual (English & German) preferred.
