Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to support the Test and Training Group. This individual will directly support the execution of design, development, integration, and testing efforts for multiple Government and military customers. Candidate will be responsible for applying sound mechanical engineering and design principles in the development of mechanical structures, enclosures, mechanisms, and drive components. Candidate will work as an individual contributor and within a diverse, multi-discipline engineering team supporting and leading multiple, simultaneous efforts. Job Responsibilities Collaborate effectively with a diverse team of technicians and engineers
Design, build, and operate equipment to test and evaluate systems in both laboratory and field environments
Develop and maintain mechanical and electrical support equipment
Operate shop related machinery to include torque wrench, pneumatic tools, common hand tools and scales
Other duties may be assigned
May be required to work extended hours or weekends, as needed
Travel 25% for extended duration as assigned Required Experience and Skills Possess a BS or MS degree in mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a relevant field
7 years of engineering experience
Candidate must have demonstrated proficiency using SolidWorks 3D modeling tool
Candidate must have the demonstrated ability to work independently on projects with tight schedules
Proficiency with Python, C , C , or MATLAB
Experience in writing technical documentation, such as reports, procedures, and requirements
Ability to lift 35 pounds
Ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements
US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance Desired Skills Experience with the design of electro-optical system packaging and mounting structures related to military platforms
Manufacturing/Machine shop experience
Basic knowledge of networking
Experience creating technical drawings according to ASME Y14.100 EOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disabled
