The Defense sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer to work in our Leidos Albuquerque Hypersonics office . Primary Responsibilities Design and develop electromechanical assemblies and supporting parts, including: Electronics enclosures and packaging, mobile platforms, machined and sheet metal parts, 3D printed parts. Contribute to program planning, risk mitigation, and requirements development. Collaborate with a team of engineers, technicians, and program staff to deliver unique solutions, on time. Document and present ideas accurately and concisely at design reviews. Basic Qualifications Master's degree in related field 2 years of applicable experience or internships Mechanical design experience 3D CAD and 2D drawing experience Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems Must possess active DOE Q security clearance. Candidate must be a resident of or be willing to relocate to the Albuquerque, NM area. Preferred Qualifications SolidWorks CAD and 2D drawing experience Experience working at a DOE facility Hands on assembly and test of prototypes EPDM and/or Windchill PLM experience Static FEA and thermal analysis experience Original Posting: April 11, 2025
