We're seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in HVAC and MEP systems to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you'll contribute to the design and delivery of sustainable commercial buildings-from concept through to construction. You'll be expected to bring a deep understanding of mechanical systems, a passion for sustainability, and experience using Revit for detailed design and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and engineer HVAC and mechanical systems with a focus on sustainability, efficiency, and decarbonization.
- Develop detailed MEP drawings and specifications using Revit and other BIM tools.
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system layout design.
- Collaborate with internal architects, electrical engineers, and sustainability consultants to ensure integrated design.
- Participate in client meetings, design charrettes, and project coordination sessions.
- Support construction administration by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, attending site visits, and monitoring system installation quality.
- Assist with project launches, including system commissioning, performance evaluation, and client handover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in HVAC/MEP design, ideally within sustainable or commercial projects.
- Proficiency in Revit is required; experience with AutoCAD, Trace 700, or similar tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with LEED, WELL, or other green building standards is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of mechanical system codes, standards, and energy-efficient strategies.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- EIT or PE licensure (or in progress) is a plus.
