Job DetailsA Mechanical Engineer in the MEPF (Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing/Fire Protection) Practice shall provide ventilation, heating/cooling, exhaust, ductwork natural gas/propane distribution designs, etc This position reports directly to a Project Manager or Principal of the Practice Area. Project types include:
- Universities, Museums, and Performing Arts Centers
- Restaurants & entertainment
- High-End Residential
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Produce/maintain design drawings & specifications from schematic design through construction administration
- Conduct field surveys and construction observation
- Engage with clients and staff in order to manage and coordinate scope and schedule
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in design
- Must have experience within MEPF space, working on commercial projects. Projects with greater levels of complexity and aesthetic appeal are a big plus.
- Proficient in Revit 3D to layout ductwork, piping, and equipment
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, but not required
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Knowledge or desire to design with sustainability in mind - LEED
- Familiarity with building codes (IMC, Fuel Gas Code, IECC)
- PE licensure or EIT certification is preferred
