Job Details

A Mechanical Engineer in the MEPF (Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing/Fire Protection) Practice shall provide ventilation, heating/cooling, exhaust, ductwork natural gas/propane distribution designs, etc This position reports directly to a Project Manager or Principal of the Practice Area. Project types include:

• Universities, Museums, and Performing Arts Centers
• Restaurants & entertainment
• High-End Residential

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Produce/maintain design drawings & specifications from schematic design through construction administration
• Conduct field surveys and construction observation
• Engage with clients and staff in order to manage and coordinate scope and schedule

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in design
• Must have experience within MEPF space, working on commercial projects. Projects with greater levels of complexity and aesthetic appeal are a big plus.
• Proficient in Revit 3D to layout ductwork, piping, and equipment
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, but not required
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel
• Knowledge or desire to design with sustainability in mind - LEED
• Familiarity with building codes (IMC, Fuel Gas Code, IECC)
• PE licensure or EIT certification is preferred
