Morales Professional seeks a seeks a versatile and hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our manufacturing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to be involved in the entire product lifecycle-from initial part design and prototyping to overseeing CNC machining processes, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting product usage with customers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, small company environment. This position requires close collaboration with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Mechanical Engineer Part Design and Development
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD Inventor).
- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing.
- Perform tolerance analysis to ensure functionality and manufacturability.
- Develop and test prototypes to validate designs and identify improvements.
Mechanical Engineer CNC Machining Support
- Develop and optimize CNC machining programs (e.g., G-code) for turning operations.
- Select appropriate tooling and machining parameters for efficient, high-quality production.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement process improvements.
- Collaborate with machinists to ensure accurate and efficient production.
Mechanical Engineer Equipment Maintenance and Reliability
- Implement preventative maintenance schedules for CNC machines, presses, and other production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
- Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Manage spare parts inventory and sourcing.
