Basic Qualifications: Experience designing, adapting, and packaging systems suitable for installation aboard U.S. Navy ships
Experience in the design, analysis, and prototyping of equipment foundations for large data center racks, electrical equipment enclosures, or antenna pedestals
Experience with 3D modeling in programs such as SolidWorks
Experience leading a functional task team and collaborating with an integrated product team, including a variety of technical and non-technical teammates
Experience with a variety manufacturing technologies and approaches, including traditional subtractive manufacturing techniques and additive techniques
Experience with product ruggedization for extreme environments, and product design for manufacturability, reliability, and maintainability
Knowledge of thermal mitigation techniques, analysis methods for packaged electronics, and basic engineering and physics principles as they apply to hardware design and product development, including material science, geometric dimensioning or tolerancing, mechanics of materials, basic physics, statics, or kinematics, and thermodynamics
Ability to develop technical documentation, including written technical documentation such as 2D technical drawings and 3D models
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 4+ years of experience working in a professional environment, or Master's degree and 2+ years of experience working in a professional environment Additional Qualifications: Experience with fabrication, assembly, and integration prototype hardware or military systems
Experience with Finite Element Analysis for structural or thermal studies
Experience with systems engineering processes
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering ( MBSE ) concepts and related sof tware suites
Experience in lab-based developmental testing and test data acquisition
Experience with other engineering sof tware, including MATLAB, Mathcad, and Multiphysics sof tware
EIT or PE Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
