Position : Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Location : West Yorkshire, Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Halifax, Castleford, Barnsley, Doncaster
Salary : 45,000 - 57,000 according to experience
Hybrid : No, this is an office based role
Visa : We cannot offer sponsorship or visa support. You MUST already have the right to live and work in the UK
Experience level : Professional experience is essential. We cannot consider people straight out of academia
Products : Special purpose machinery
Software : Autodesk Inventor preferred, Solidworks also acceptable
Requirements :
- Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Aided Design or very similar to at least HNC Level
- Proven experience of the design and development of special purpose machinery
- FEA abilities preferred
- Pneumatic or hydraulic understanding beneficial
- Experience of documenting system specifications
- Able to carry out risk assessments on designs
- Design for manufacture
- FMEA understanding
- Any understanding of control systems would be beneficial but is not essential
- Experience of FAT and SAT to proof designs
