Mechanical Design Engineer

Introduction
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer ideally with SolidWorks experience in Nursling, Southampton on a permanent basis. This is a fast-paced customer led role rather than R&D focused.
Key Responsibilities:
- To create and store all technical drawings using SolidWorks PDM ensuring that all documents are saved, labelled, annotated and created correctly.
- Assisting customers with mechanical technical queries, for new products or products they have previously purchased.
- To create all documents required to support the products made by the company, including, but not limited to, design guides, manufacturing packs, BOMs and support with Build Specifications. All documents must be revised and updated when changes are required and created for all new standard products.
The Ideal Mechanical Design Engineer:
- 2-3+ years Mechanical Design experience
- Degree or equivalent
- Confident with SolidWorks Software
- Good Communication skills
- Willing to travel to customers if the business requires
Salary: £34K - £37K Plus company bonus
Hours - Day Shift Monday to Friday
