Start your engineering career with hands-on innovation.
Aegis Worldwide is actively seeking a recent mechanical engineering graduate (or equivalent) to join our team as an Entry-Level Design Engineer. In this role, you'll help design and develop custom components and systems for industrial vehicles-working directly with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic assemblies. This is a high-impact opportunity to contribute to real-world product development, using tools like CAD and FEA to bring your ideas to life on production vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create 2D and 3D models using CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks) for industrial vehicle components.
- Apply Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for stress analysis and product validation.
- Support the design and integration of systems across internal combustion and electric-powered vehicles.
- Document engineering changes, specifications, and maintain up-to-date drawings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and supply chain.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Hoshin) to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot design issues with hands-on testing and analysis.
- Communicate technical findings clearly across engineering and operations teams.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD modeling tools like CATIA or SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with FEA tools for simulation and analysis.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Curiosity and a problem-solving mindset, with a hands-on approach to testing and development.
- Ability to manage multiple design projects in a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or product design setting is preferred.
- 0-3 years of professional experience.
