We're looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Entry-Level Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of pharmaceutical packaging equipment. We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and help drive the future of packaging equipment for the pharmaceutical industry.
Responsibilities:
Design & Development
- Create 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks). Collaborate with vendors to select components and resolve manufacturing challenges, all while staying within budget.
Prototyping & Testing
- Support the testing and validation of mechanical components to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work alongside electrical engineers, project managers, and assembly technicians throughout the design and build process. Provide hands-on support during assembly and participate in project reviews.
Documentation
- Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including BOMs, recommended parts lists, and technical reports.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in internal design reviews and contribute ideas to improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all designs adhere to pharmaceutical industry standards (cGMP, FDA, ISO).
Customer Communication
- Interact with customers during design reviews, project updates, and factory acceptance testing to ensure expectations are met.s.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Working knowledge of GD&T and mechanical drawing standards
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Previous internship, job, or project experience in automation or machine design is a plus but not required.
