Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and refine mechanical designs for high-voltage electronics assemblies.
Perform structural analysis using FEA and other modeling tools.
Translate design parameters into detailed conceptual and critical designs while adhering to engineering standards.
Oversee the fabrication and testing of mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with specifications.
Collaborate with electrical engineers, technicians, and manufacturing teams to optimize designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Create technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and engineering reports.
Provide clear technical presentations and updates to internal teams and customers.
Requirements and Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
1-5 years of engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree or 0-5 years with a Master's degree.
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, or similar) for mechanical design and drafting.
Experience with FEA tools for structural simulations.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Ideal Competencies:
Experience in high-voltage electronics packaging and electromagnetic shielding design.
Knowledge of pulsed power systems, thermal management, and mechanical integration.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, material selection, and assembly techniques
Additional Information
U.S. citizen
Hours are flexible, but must include a 9 AM-3:30 PM core block
Occasional travel may be required
Must pass a drug test and background check
Must be able to obtain a security clearance
