Overview:
Our client, a leading MEP consulting firm, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Mechanical Department Head to lead their mechanical engineering team in Fort Collins, CO. This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee diverse projects across sectors such as healthcare, commercial, federal, and education, driving technical excellence and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Oversee and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Project Oversight: Manage the design, development, and implementation of HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems, ensuring high-quality project delivery.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other department heads to ensure cohesive multidisciplinary project execution.
- Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
- Strategic Growth: Identify new business opportunities and assist with proposals and presentations to drive department growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Proficiency with design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and energy modeling tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
