Mech/Process

EGS is seeking a Mech/Process/Chemical Systems Engineer who specializes in designing and analyzing complex industrial systems involving mechanical, chemical, and process engineering principles, with a strong focus on creating and interpreting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to detail the flow of materials, and instrumentation within a plant or process facility.

Typical responsibilities may include:
Developing process flow diagrams (PFD's) as a foundation for P&ID creation
Performing equipment sizing calculations
Analyzing process dynamics and potential hazards
Reviewing and approving vendor drawings and specifications
Coordinating with other engineering disciplines (electrical, structural, civil)
Supporting project execution through construction, commissioning, and start-up

Job Requirements

Skills and qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related and 5-10 years relevant experience.
Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer
Proficiency in P&ID software and industry standards
Experience with process simulation tools
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Strongly prefer experience with Pipe-flo, GOTHIC, HTRI, or IPSEpro or similar software tools.
