MDM/Data Catalog Tool Architect

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our client in Data Center industry as a Data Management Application Architect. This role will be responsible for owning the overarching architecture and strategy for data management for the client. The individual will work closely with internal team members to understand requirements and ensure that data management solutions are properly configured for use. Additionally, the Data Management Application Architect will attend customer-facing meetings to assist with the design of data requirements within our data management systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, data warehouse, and data lakes, as well as the ability to write SQL. Experience with Enterprise Data Management products and Data Quality and Data Catalogs is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

-Own the overarching architecture and strategy for data management

-Collaborate with internal team members to understand requirements and ensure proper configuration of data management solutions.

-Attend customer-facing meetings to assist with the design of data requirements within our data management systems.

-Provide expertise in data engineering, data warehouse, and data lakes.

-Write and optimize SQL queries to support data management functionalities.

-Ensure data quality and stewardship capabilities are established and maintained within the data management systems.

-Act as a liaison between data domains and the broader data governance team to ensure alignment and consistency in data management practices.

Skills and Requirements

-8+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehouse, and data lakes.

-Strong ability to write and optimize SQL queries.

-Experience with Enterprise Data Catalog products and data quality

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders .

-Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field -Experience with MS Purview or Profisee

-Experience with data governance frameworks and best practices.

-Familiarity with data quality management and data stewardship.

-Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance related to data management.

-Proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques.
