Job Title: MDL Test Lead
Location: Remote or Chicago IL
Duration: 12 Months


Job Description

  • Responsible for overseeing the testing process of the MDL application and all the associated systems to ensure they meet quality standards before deployment.
  • This role involves planning, executing, and managing testing activities while coordinating with development teams, business teams, external partner teams, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Test Planning and Strategy:

  • Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and test strategies based on project requirements.
  • Define testing scope, objectives, and timelines.
  • Identify risks and mitigation strategies for testing phases.

2. Test Execution and Management:

  • Lead the execution of functional, regression, integration, performance system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Monitor and manage test environments, ensuring they align with project needs.
  • Identify, log, and track defects using test management tools.

3. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, external partner teams, and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide testing insights.
  • Communicate testing progress, issues, and results to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment with Agile, and DevSecOps methodologies as required.

4. Automation and Tools:

  • Implement and oversee automated testing frameworks and scripts.
  • Use test management tools.

5. Quality Assurance and Process Improvement:

  • Conduct root cause analysis for defects and recommend improvements.

Required Skills:

  • 8 years of testing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Skills required will be a combination of project management, planning, experience in test strategy and data strategy preparation, logical and analytical thinking, quick thinking on the feet, not intimated by technological complexity, being technically sound, and the ability to quickly understand business functionality that spans across multiple systems and technologies including mainframes and prepare testing strategy.
