Position Title: Office Assistant Department: Parking Department
Location: Multiple Parking Offices
Number of Open Positions: 1
Anticipated Start Date: June 2, 2025
End Date: August 8, 2025
Hours per Week: Part-Time - 28 hours/week (Monday through Thursday)
Business/Work Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM ( hour unpaid lunch)
Starting Pay Rate: $12.00/hour

General Description This position supports the Parking Department by performing a variety of administrative office tasks. It is designed for youth ages 16-20 and operates under close supervision following set procedures.

Employment is from June 2, 2025, to August 8, 2025, with possible extension based on availability and departmental needs.

Responsibilities, Tasks, and Projects
  • Filing and organizing documents
  • Scanning records and data entry
  • Inventory tracking and basic supply management
  • Other office duties as assigned
Candidate Requirements
  • Basic typing and computer skills
  • Ability to read and understand written English
  • Physical ability to:
    • Lift up to 10 pounds
    • Move between office spaces
    • Bend or reach to access files in cabinets or boxes
Dress Code
  • Business casual attire is required
Additional Qualifications
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and provide documentation
  • Must speak and read English proficiently to:
    • Follow instructions
    • Communicate effectively with staff and the public
  • Must comply with all City and departmental policies, procedures, and expectations
