Job Role: Maths Teacher
Location: Newham & Tower Hamlets
Salary: £185 - £285 per day
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Permanent, Long Term

Responsibilities of a Maths Teacher:
- Teach Maths across Key Stages 3, 4 and potentially KS5
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective maths lessons
- Support students to achieve and exceed their academic targets
- Create a positive and focused classroom environment
- Mark and assess work in line with school policies
- Support the wider maths department in curriculum planning
- Attend department meetings and contribute to whole school improvement
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers
Requirements for the Maths Teacher role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience teaching maths in UK secondary schools
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum in maths
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A passion for mathematics and helping students succeed
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
